● Royal Palace & Silver Pagoda Royal Palace, is the complex of building which serves as the Royal residence of the king of Cambodia. It was constructed by his majesty king Norodom in 1863 to 1866 after Cambodia signs the protectoration with French from invasion over by neighbourhood country Vietnam and Thailand. ● Silk Island Silk island is home to a silk weaving village and silk center, where you can visit how the whole silk production process works from beginning to end, from mulberry chomping silk worms in golden cocoons through to the complex manual loom weaving process , which requires adexterity. The main silk weaving centre is just a few kilometers away from the ferry drop off point, and is home to a collection of beautifully constructed houses under which weavers patiently weave at their looms , turning out simple but finely crafted silks scarves and skirts. There is a small shop at the end of the row of houses where you able to buy the silk scarve and skirt, as well as cotton scarve and krama which are also made in this island.
● Oudong mountain. Oudong is the former capital of Cambodia it was found by his majesty king Srei Soriyapor in 1601, after abandoned of longvek. Under the reign of King Ang Doung (1841to 1850)he constructed the canals, terraces, bridge and erected hundreds pagodas in this region. In ( 1618 -1866) it was formally called Oudong meanchey. Home to succession of king including Norodom were crowned here. The main attractives today are the twin humps of Udong hill which have several stupas on it. Both ends of the ridge have good views of the Cambodian country side, dotted with innumerable sugarpalm trees. Phnom Udong really fills up with locals at weekends but is quiet during the week and admission is 1 USD each. Along the way back you can stop at the famous silversmith village, the village that people have skillful to erected silver products and jewellery.
